Honda’s new hydrogen-powered all-electric sedan will be heading to dealerships this August.
For those interested, the 2017 Honda Clarity Electric will be available at a competitive introductory lease price of $269 a month for 36 months (plus tax). The lease also has a generous allowance of 20,000 miles per year and includes 24/7 roadside assistance. The lease has a federal tax credit built in and requires $1,730 down plus the first month’s lease payment at signing.
Unfortunately for shoppers, the 2017 Honda Clarity Electric will only be available at select dealerships in California and Oregon.

The all-electric sedan features a 161-horsepower electric motor producing 221 pound-feet of torque. It has an EPA range rating of 89 miles on a single charge and gets an EPA fuel economy rating of 126 MPGe in the city, 103 MPGe on the highway, for a 114-MPGe combined rating.
The Honda Clarity Electric joins the Clarity Fuel Cell, which launched in December 2016. The third car of the Clarity family, the plug-in hybrid variant, will arrive later this year.
